Goals
Description
The Micro-Makerspace started out as an old garden shed in the backyard, we are in the process of updating the exterior appearance and designing the interior workspace. Because the space is pretty small (10' x 12'), we have added a multi-purpose covered area outside the shed where a mobile workbench or other workspaces can be set up.
Upon completion of the makerspace, Airbnb guests or Village Collective community members will be able to use the space after signing a waiver. This page will contain a tool and materials list that we will keep up to date. The space will also be connected to our Wi-Fi network and have a computer workstation that can be used as a remote-work setup.
Our long-term goal is to use the space to make small furniture, home décor, planters, and kitchen accessories and Village Collective merch that could be displayed & sold at our rental or at local farmers markets. Items that community members or guests create in the makerspace could also be displayed, sold, and shared on our social media pages. Any profits from these activities will be used to further improve the space.
