The Backyard Greenhouse is one of our favorite features of the Home away from Home, We use the 10' x 16' space to grow a variety of heat-loving vegetables, for our starts in the early spring, and micro- greens!
In addition to the greenhouse, there are also 4 perennial herb and vegetable beds, 3 raised beds for annual veggies, raspberries, josta berries, and more.
Our goal is to provide guests with the experience of having various on-site grown seasonal fruits, veggies, herbs, and possibly in the future - culinary mushrooms, farm-fresh eggs, and wild-foraged foods. As we develop more properties, we hope to have enough production for a small farmers market booth or CSA during the summer, as well as working with local chefs to create personal dining experiences using locally produced ingredients for our guests.
